X-MEN GROUNDS WOODS

The woods boast a vast variety of wildlife as well as many kinds of trees. Aspens, evergreen, oak, ash, maple, red maple, are the most predominant trees founynd in these woods. Owls, fox, coyotes, timberwolves, copperhead snakes (amongst other less frightening varieties), white-tailed deer, bobcats, red squirrels, opossums, raccoons, wild geese, wild turkeys (and other assorted birds), turtles, and a great number of mosquitoes and other bugs are certainly prevalent in these woods and in the other woodlands of New York. The woods spread out in many directions but generally reach to the east and south, away from the town where progress has felled what surely was forest at one point. All in all, there are many acres of it and it would be easy enough to get lost. A river flows through; it a large, wide river with a few rapids but otherwise is only about waist deep. There are some rocky ravines, large hills to climb, and very interesting topography all around. The trees are tall and can block out the sun so unless one knows their cardinal directions, they had better keep an eye on where the sun is in the sky!

X-Men Time

Post here

Jessica stood on the tree line having just traveled from the X-Men Grounds. She was now completely soaked and cold as hell, but she knew she had to get this job done. She moved farther into the forest looking for a nice piece of ground to bury the remains of the creature she couldn't identify. "Ah ha," she said loudly as she found a nice mud patch about three away from what appeared to be a maple tree. Unfortunately, Jessica forgot to bring a shovel so she started digging with her bare hands. As she dug deeper the ground became harder for her to dig up. "Fine," she bellowed slight infuriated and sad at the same time. The muscles in arms begin to tighten and expand as her mutant powers kicked in. "Lets how much the ground can withstand this?" She said outloud to no one in particular. She started digging again, and once she reached about five feet down she smiled with satisfaction. She carefully chucked the remains into the hole, and pushed the dirt into the hole. Afterwards, she stomped down on it flattening it down to the best of her ability. "Done," she said now slightly exhausted, but could now feel the freezing weather hitting her head on. Her nose was now stuffed up, and her hands ached with coldness and fatigue. Her breathing was slowed, and she shivering. "I..I...I...nee..ddd...to...ge....t back to the....mannn...sssion," she said to herself while shivering more frequently. She began walking in a direction for about ten minutes and didn't see anything. She didn't know which way she had gone, and what way to go next. Her thoughts had become jumbled, but she managed to exit the woods and find the X-Men Peach Lake.
